In the events of natural disaster, we not only donated monetary contribution, but also facilitated our employee to join the volunteer force helping our residents to deal with the aftermath.
Overseas Contributions
We have continuously purchased bulk quantities of daily essentials for underprivileged people in Phnom Penh Chinese Christian Church. In France, we plan to support land purchases by the Eglise Evangélique Baptiste Chinoise church to build a new church and facilities to resonate our blessing to the world.
Assisting Social Welfare Organisations
To support the growth of local social welfare programs, we lease our properties to social welfare organisation at below market value, and ensure the locations and features to satisfy the needs of service users. For instance, our sea view villa was leased to Macau Child Development Association to give children suffered with autism an opportunity to engage in activities in a soothing environment. Other organisations we support include Fuhong Society of Macau, Macau Designers Association, as well as Macau Art Garden which is jointly operated by Art for All Society, Macau Artist Society, Macau Sky & Earth Ceramic Art Association and Macau Sculpture Association.
The group also leases outdoor advertising spaces at special rates for these organisations to raise awareness of their mission.
Purchasing Social Welfare Products
For our corporate events, we prioritise purchasing products created by social welfare organisations to support the underprivileged groups. We also purchase gifts, such as potted plants, that are beneficial to the environment.
One Dollar Rent
In November 2019, we fully supported the Caritas Macau to open the “Good Fortune Charity Shop,” mainly to collect donated goods from the neighbourhood for re-sale purposes, by renting the retail floor space at $1-nominal rent. The shop is located at our Trust Leisure Court, 94A on the Rua de Cinco de Outubro, Macau. This project is intended to raise the awareness of reducing waste and environment protection, offer the goods at an affordable prices to the communities, and at the same time assisting our vulnerable members of the community to re-engage into the work force and restore their lives.
Charity Bazaar
On the occasion of World Food Day in October 2019, we worked with Caritas Macau to set up a charity bazaar at our group's restaurants. Our lovely cafe team catered the food items for free and all the donations collected were fully donated to the Caritas Macau. The event was a huge success to raise the food wastage awareness and to help our underprivileged members of our community.
Participating in Social Affairs
We regularly participate and support events organised by local associations, such as Macao Chamber of Commerce, Association of Returned Overseas Chinese Macau, Association of Property Agents and Realty Developers of Macau, Macao ASEAN International Chamber of Commerce and The Industry and Commerce Association of Macau, which share our vision for better social development and promoting a harmonious community.
Recreational facilities
In working with the government’s urban redevelopment plan, we have leased, at a nominal price, more than 20,000 sq. ft. of land in Ilha Verde for recreational facilities, including a basketball court and soccer field to the general public.
Improve Development
In the 2016 to 2017 fiscal year, the group paid more than MOP$50 million worth of taxes to support the government’s work.
In response to the Macau S.A.R. government’s policy to promote the cultural arts, cultural innovation and to build an international leisure hub, we have also been supporting the development and diversification of the cultural and creative industries in Macau. We made our public carpark at Millennium Court available to the local artists to express themselves through street arts, engaged the people of Macau to the neighbourhood.
Donating Office Space
Teaming up with a few passionate individuals, we donated 2,400 sq. ft of office space to Association of Property Agents and Realty Developers of Macau to support its development. We also sold two retail spaces at below market value to two social welfare organisations.
Our Greatest Appreciation to Our Frontline Heroes
To extend our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all the COVID-19 frontline heroes, we advertise on outdoor billboards to express our respect to every unsung hero who devoted his time and energy during the COVID-19 outbreak. Taking this opportunity, we hope to spread positive energy to the Macau community.
